![]() You can create racks and bins to assign your bottles to. If you assign bottles to a rack, Wine Cellar II can tell you exactly where each bottle is within the rack. ![]() You can create a rack up to 26 columns wide (A-Z) and 99 rows high. Racks can have columns and rows of any shape. You can enlarge or reduce the size, and change the shape of a rack at any time. In Wine Cellar II, a typical Rack looks somthing like this: ![]() Rows in a rack are number 1, 2, 3, 4… Columns are labelled A, B, C, D… Each location in the rack holds one bottle. A rack location is referred to by it’s grid reference, for example B1 for the first row of the second column. When a bottle is removed from a rack, it’s location is immediately available for another. ![]() You can create a bin to hold a specified number of bottles with no pre-defined order. In Wine Cellar II, a typical bin looks something like this: ![]() Bins can be enlarged or reduced in size at any time. A bin can be given a name or simply a number. ![]() A bottle that is not assigned to a rack or bin is unracked. You can select multiple unracked bottles and assign them to available locations in a rack in a single operation. To see a list of all Unracked bottles, select Unracked from the Bottle menu (or type Ctrl+U). ![]() To create a Rack (or Bin), select New Rack/Bin from the Racks/Bins sub-menu on the Bottle menu. Select Rack and click Next. Give you Rack a name and set the maximum column and row. Click Next. If you wish to change the shape of your rack (e.g. it is not perfectly square and is shaped to fit under stairs), then click on the Change Shape button. Otherwise click Finished. You can now assign bottles to your new Rack.
