Wine Cellar II Online Tutorial - Wine Cellar Browser
The main Wine Cellar Browser window is the easiest way to view the wines that you have in your cellar. The Wine Cellar Browser displays the varieties, brands, wineries, regions, countries and vintages in your cellar. To change the currenlty displayed category, click one of the buttons at the top of the Wine Cellar Browser window or select a category from the View menu.

The Wine Cellar Browser is designed to look very similar to your Windows File Explorer - selecting an item in the left-hand list, displayed wines in that category in the right hand list.

By default, all wines are displayed - even those which you no longer have in your cellar. To view only wines of which you currently have bottles, un-click the All check box. This toggles between showing all wines that exist in Wine Cellar II (including those with Quantity displayed of 0) and only those of which you have unopened bottles (Quantity displayed is 1 or more). This check box returns to it's default state each time you start Wine Cellar II. If you wish to change the default state, select Options from the Tools menu and click on the General tab.

At the bottom left of the window are the Add, Modify and Delete buttons. You can use these to Add, Modify or Delete the items currently displayed in the left hand list (i.e. Varieties, Brands, Wineries, Regions and Countries).

Categories and Icons
The icons used in Wine Cellar II have been designed to provide you with summary information at a quick glance:

White wine grape Variety Brand
Red wine grape Variety Winery
Sparkling wine grape Variety Region
Pink/Rose wine grape Variety Country
Desert wine grape Variety Vintage

Wine and Bottle Icons
Wines have various icons to indicate their status and what information is available:

Standard wine - not ready to drink, no notes
Wine with notes - not ready to drink

Bottles also use icons to indicate their status:

Viewing Wine Details
You can double-click on a wine in the right-hand list to view its details (or you can select a wine and click on the Wine button). These are displayed in a dialogue box as follows:

Each Tab contains further information on the wine. For example,
the Bottles tab shows details for each bottle such as the purchase date, price and current status or location of the bottle as follows:

Further details of each bottle are available by double-clicking on a bottle (or by selecting a bottle and clicking the Modify button) as follows:

As you can now see, any wine or bottle details not captured when creating the wine or bottle can easily be updated later.
