Wine Cellar II Online Tutorial - Creating Wines and Bottles
Wine Cellar II differentiates between wines and bottles. When using Wine Cellar II, you deal with either a wine or an individual bottle depending on the function being performed. Attributes such as retail price, quality ratings, food matches and recommended drinking are entered only once for each wine. However each individual bottle of that wine has it's own purchase price and date, supplier, size and number.

To create your first wine, select New from the Wine menu (or press Ctrl+N).


The first four fields are mandatory and these are unique for each wine. All other fields are optional; if you do not know the values now, you can always return to this wine or individual bottles later and amend any details.


Variety, Brand, Region and Vintage
Enter the wine's variety, brand, region and vintage. If the wine does not have a vintage, click the Non-vintage check box.

Common varieties and regions are pre-loaded into Wine Cellar II. Others you can add yourself. For each field (Variety, Brand and Region), you can either::
